Rules for Eligibility

  • Website entries should be represented by the owner or the developer (with the owner's consent).
  • The website entry should be owned and developed by a Filipino.
  • In the case of more than one person owning the site such as a company or organization, majority must be Filipinos.
  • A website entry must contain at least five web pages. Single web pages may not be considered if their structure and content differs extensively from the primary domain.
  • The website entry must be accessible to the general public.
  • Web entries can have their own domains or use those provided by hosting services.
  • The website entry must not contain plagiarized content or designs from a copyrighted source.
  • The website entry must not contain offensive or illegal content such as pornographic material, terrorism, violence, religion biases and culture bashing.
  • Entry fees are PhP 3,000.00 for all categories except for Personal, Organizations and Blogs Web sites which are only required an entry fee of PhP 500.00, and PhP 1,000.00 for e-LGU category. Payments can be made through credit card, bank deposits directly to Media G8way or online through PayEasy.

Screening and Judging Process

  • Aside from content updates including text and images, no major changes should be made to websites during the entire screening and judging period.
  • Entries should be hosted in the domain name submitted upon entry. A request for a URL change should be done prior to changing addresses.
  • Judges have the final word on the results.
  • Website representatives must abide by the final outcome.
  • PWA organizers and partners are not accountable for any website entry liabilities.

Judging Criteria

Websites are scored using the categories and subcategories below. Each subcategory is evaluated individually and can receive a mark up to the maximum value allotted to it as its percentage in the total score.

Government-owned sites that focus primarily on travel-related information, e.g. city government sites that are heavy on travel destinations.

- Sites that provide information about a local government unit/community (city, municipality and province).
