Important Announcement

This is to formally inform you that the Awards Night of the 13th Philippine Web Awards scheduled to be held on July 20, 2012 will be cancelled and the 13th PWA itself put on hold. This is in response to e-mails sent by a number of Web designers who pointed out that since 2012 is nearly half over, we should already include Web sites that have gone "live" this year.

This is similar to what we did with the 12th PWA that was held last year. Since the previous staging of the event -- the 11th PWA -- was held on Feb. 27, 2009 to cover Pinoy-made Web sites that went “live” in 2008 no search was done for 2009. To remedy this, the organizing committee decided to give the 12th PWA a two-year coverage: 2009 and the whole of 2010.

We are doing the same thing for the 13th Philippine Web Awards and give it a two-year coverage, 2012 and the whole of 2013. Thus, we will reopen the nominations, push back the judging schedules and hold the Awards Night late this year or early next year.
